Veronica walked towards the great hall, her arms round her books as she hugged them to her chest. Her hood was up, like it always was. She'd lied before, she hadn't drank when her best friend had asked her to and she still hadn't. She was getting slowly worse and she looked practically dead by now. The teachers, Nicole and Malachi hadn't managed to convince her and she was sure she'd end up being forced sooner or later. She hurried towards the hall, walking passed one of the classrooms the door opened and she was knocked backwards and down onto the floor. The boy, who had just opened the door, looked down at her and laughed slightly before walking off. Veronica sighed, picked up her books and stood back up, going down to the hall slowly. By the time she made it there everyone was sat down and eating.. Chatting away. They didn't notice as she went over to one of the tables, not even taking time to see which one, and took some food. She glanced up at the teachers table before turning to leave. She didn't like staying in the hall, no one talked to her and they all seemed to hate her for reasons she didn't know. She went back out and looked round before sitting down with her back against the wall next to the door and looked out the window at the rain. She put her books on the floor next to her, sat so she was hid behind the great hall's doors, so if anyone came out they'd have to turn back round to notice her, and started to eat her food slowly.

Freya ran down the stairs that led to the Great Hall, cursing as one of her textbooks slipped and fell to the floor. She had had to relieve her bladder and then go back to the dungeons to retrieve a book she had left there, and thus she was immensely late for breakfast. Picking up the book, Freya kept walking and nearly tripped over a Hufflepuff first-year, who also seemed to be late. The little encounter had caused the ink bottle she was carrying to fall to the floor and break into dozens of tiny pieces, leaving a black ink stain on the stone floor.
"Watch where you're going, midget!" she angrily shouted at the scared little Hufflepuff. Huffing, she took out her wand and pointed it at the ink. With a swift flick of her wand, she said "Evanesco!" and the ink disappeared. Now the shards of glass were a completely different story. Kneeling carefully on the floor, Freya took a good look at them and was thinking about Banishing them when she spotted someone hiding behind one of the doors to the Great Hall. Merlin, what are they doing there? She stood up and walked over to the person, whom she realised was the girl from the library when she was close enough to notice the girl's features.
"What happened, why are you eating here?" she asked with curiosity.

Veronica gulped when she saw a girl, who was talking with Veronica. She was the first person who talked with her this year. Everyone was acting like an enemy to Veronica this year. So, she was eating her food alone, hanging alone, doing homeworks alone etc.
She smiled slightly, "i just wanted to be alone." She lied to her. "Why aren't you stay with them?" She asked with a smile. In general, she doesn't smile a lot, but she was happy today without a reason. She smiled gently and grabbed her bag into her hands. It was heavy with sixth year's difficult books but she has to pack it everyday. She was like an bookworm.

"I'm running late, I forgot a book and had to go back and get it," she explained. She couldn't quite grasp why someone would want to be alone. A gut feeling told her there was more to the situation than the older girl was telling her.
"Would you care to come with me, then?" she asked with a smile, gesturing at the Great Hall. "I'm starving," Freya informed, just as her stomach growled and demanded food.

Veronica smiled gently at this pretty girl. "Certainly" she told her with a winning smile. She grabbed her Astronomy book from it fell locale. The book was a little heavy and bold. She rammed book into her school bag. Her bag was looking like a suitcase. When she finished to replace book to bag, bag was full. She looked at bag and hated being sixth year. It was hard to take it. She stood up with an anger. The girl was shorter than Veronica. Veronica smiled slightly. "Go?" She asked her, still smiling.

Freya smiled amusedly as the girl struggled with her book and her bag. "Yeah, let's go," she agreed once the book was safely tucked into the bag. She noticed with a sour face that the girl was taller than her. But she's older too, Freya thought grimly. She had in inferiority complex that wasn't getting any better. Ah well, she might still have a growth spurt, who knows?
She entered the Great Hall and walked up to the Slytherin table, shooing a first-year away so there would be more room for them to sit. She sat her books on the floor between her feet and glanced at the table, taking note of all the delicious food in there. Freya helped herself to some porridge, at last contenting her stomach. Then she turned round to check on the girl.

Veronica walked with Freya for go to the Great Hall. She glanced around Hufflepuff table, who was full with laughing people. She showed displeasure. She was never a big fan of laugh. She watched Freya when she shooed a first-year away. She was like a real Slytherin. She has to be clever, she thought hopefully and sat down next to her.

"Aren't you going to eat anything?" Freya asked, pointing at a number of foods. Even though Veronica had already eaten, she might still be hungry. Raucous laughter erupted from Hufflepuff table, and Freya had to snort. Those cheery fools were always happy - how could someone be like that?
"I think someone should Spellotape their mouths," Freya commented as she took a bite of toast. "Why do they have to be so bloody loud this early in the morning?"

She glanced around Hufflepuff table and smirked. "Maybe, everything is funny for them" she said. She turned her glance to Freya and made a wry face about Hufflepuffs and got a mineral water to drink. She didn't get a food to eat. Because she had already eaten.

Freya thought about Veronica's remark for a while and then nodded in agreement. Maybe only cheerful people were sorted into Hufflepuff. "Thank Merlin I wasn't sorted into Hufflepuff, I don't think I could have stood all that happiness for three years now, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week," she said. She spread pumpkin jam on her toast and licked the tip of her finger, which had a bit of jam in it.

Veronica laughed some, when Freya stopped talking. "We better be in Slytherin. We are real ones. Yup" she said, still laughing. She glanced around Hufflepuff table again. A fifth year guy was trying to translate an egg to a glass. But he couldn't complete it well and a fire was staying at egg's place now. Veronica smirked and gave Freya a nod. She took a sip from her glass of water.

"Yup, to a hundred percent!" Freya fiercely stated. She was taking a sip from her pumpkin juice when she saw Veronica nod at her with a smirk, and then nudge her in the direction of Hufflepuff table. Some know-it-all fifth-year bloke was trying to transfigure an egg into a glass, but he wasn't succeeding.
Freya laughed maliciously and took out her wand. Pointing it as discreetly and clearly at the egg as she could, she whispered "Wingardium Leviosa!" and the egg floated in the air, directed by Freya's wand. She decided to smack it across the fifth-year's head, just for the fun of it. She giggled and broke the spell as the Hufflepuff boy stared at the egg that had hit him on the head in bewilderment, not knowing what had caused the strange occurence.

Veronica laughed and watched Freya's actions. She filled her glass with orange juice and took a sip from her it. "It's fun play around Hufflepuffs" she said with a half laugh.
A Hufflepuff prefect, who was on his fifth year, was coming to the table. Veronica grinned slightly and gave Freya a nod again. When he came to table, he was standing behind Freya and looking down at Veronica. Veronica took her wand out, she was ready, if he wanted to fight. "What do you want?" Veronica asked him seriously. But she didn't get an answer. The boy only looked at her and smirked.
(OOC: Wtf, it's gonna crazy xD)

"Yeah, they're so easy to trick", Freya agreed with a snigger. She noticed Veronica's nod and glared at the Hufflepuff boy, as if the hatred on her stare were enough to send him back to his table. However, in no time he was right behind Freya, and Veronica took her wand out. Freya turned round and looked up, finding the prefect smirking at her friend.
"What the hell do you want?" she asked, her voice a menacing whisper. She felt for her hand inside her pocket, ready to use if it the occasion called for it.

The boy were looking acquaintance to Veronica. He was still smiling and staring at Veronica. Veronica wasn't to be able to look his in the eye. She looked at environment. All Slytherins were looking at them for know what happen. She was like lost her memory. The first word came from the boy. "Aren't you remember me, Veronica?" he said, still smirking. Veronica's mind waved a bit. Veronica looked at him, never taking his eyes off and she remembered. It was a boy, who lives on her neighborhood. Veronica stood up fastly. "Ah, stupid me. Sorry for don't remember" she said with a smirk. "You are-" she stopped. Remember, remember, remember, she brang her mind to remember. "John, right?" she asked, beaming. John didn't believe his eyes when Veronica remembered his name. He grinned. "Yeah.. I'm from-" she said and looked at his uniform, "Hufflepuff" he added with a loathing. John was a student on Durmstrang. Veronica didn't believe that, he was here. "Hufflepuff? Aren't you a student on Durmstrang?" she asked and raised an eyebrow. John laughed a little. "No. We moved here. So, I came to Hogwarts. They put me to-" he looked at his uniform again, "Hufflepuff" he said, "you can't believe that, how stupid people stays in the dorm" he said with a laugh. "And I'm a prefect" his eyes stared at Veronica's and he gave a nod at Freya. Veronica came to herself and looked down at Freya-all Slytherins were still watching-she smiled at Freya and made John known. "John, it's Freya. My best friend, as you can see, she's from Slytherin on third year" Veronica said, like crowing to have a friend like Freya. Then she looked at Freya, "This' John. He was from Durmstrang and he's now-" she looked at John's uniform and added, "Hufflepuff" she told it with a compunction. Then she looked at Hufflepuff table and felt abhorrent to John for being on it.
